Shoes to the Star of Hope

Members from the BSMC Houston Chapter delivered gently used shoes to the Star of Hope , "a Christ-centered community dedicated to meeting the needs of homeless men, women and their children. Positive life changes are encouraged through structured programs which focus on spiritual growth, education, employment, life management and recovery from substance abuse." - February 2023.

Sgt. Major James Williams

Houston BSMC had the honor of meeting Sgt. Major James Williams, the last known surviving 9th and 10th Cavalry Buffalo Soldier. We joined Waller Co. Precinct 3 Constable, Herschel Smith, at the mural dedicated in Sgt. Major Williams' honor on Emancipation Avenue in Houston, then rode to the VA Hospital where Constable Smith honored him with a plaque. Sgt. Major Williams’ home is in Disrepair and in need of improvements. We are putting together donations to aid in this endeavor.
